Erie Downtown Partnership

Our Story

The Erie Downtown Partnership (EDP) works to make downtown Erie safe, fun, and welcoming for all.

SAFE

EDP’s Safety +Hospitality Ambassador Team clean debris from sidewalks, assist with beautification efforts, and provide business support for sidewalk snow removal making sure downtown is pedestrian friendly.  Last year they removed over 70,000 pounds of trash from downtown. They also provide homeless wellness checks to assist vulnerable individuals, inform solutions, and provide relief to businesses impacted. Last year they completed 109 wellness checks.

FUN

EDP plans 130 events annually (St. Patrick's Day Parade, Downtown D'Lights, Winter Carnival, Small Business Saturday, Sunrise Yoga at Dobbins Landing, and Summer Concert Series to name a few).  This adds up to programming for 40% of the year.

WELCOMING
EDP provides assistance and grants to small businesses to improve their facades.  EDP also delivers public space programming and amenities that are family-friendly, inclusive, and represent our diversity, as well as business advocacy and outreach. Last year EDP assisted with 161 business requests for service.

The Erie Downtown Partnership is in the midst of working with Smith Group on the Engaged + Energized Public Space Plan which will explore what amenities, infrastructure, and programming are needed to support downtown's economic vibrancy for businesses and quality of life for residents.

Your support on Erie Gives Day ensures downtown businesses, residents, and visitors have a positive downtown experience.

All gifts made on Erie Gives Day will go to the Downtown Future Fund. This annual fund will sustain future costs for services that enhance the business environment of downtown and programming that invites residents and visitors to enjoy downtown and accelerate our revitalization efforts.
